DEMOCRACY LOVERS TO SHOW SOLIDARITY WITH DEMOCRACY PROTESTERS IN SYRIA


WASHINGTON — The continuation of the Syrian regime’s policy of murder, repression and terrorism will not suppress the voice of the Syrian people and their calls for freedom and social and economic justicePresident Assad attempted to placate to the protesters by signing what he said would end the 40 year old emergency law but it has not changed anything for the people of Syria.  On Friday the security forces continued to beat and murder the unarmed men and women calling for a free Syria.

The Syrian Emergency Task Force and the Syrian community in the United States of America and Canada, invite you to join us in a demonstration of solidarity and awareness which will take place in front of the White House in Lafayette Park in Washington DC., on Saturday 23 April / 2011 hour / 12:00 twelve noon to four o’clock.

We call on the free world Syrian to stand with the people of Syria and to join with us to deliver the aspirations and determination of the Syrian people to be free.  Please help us tell their story of struggle against the corrupt authoritarian regime that has exercised all means of military force to murder, torture and oppress our people in all provinces.

White House   1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW – Washington, D.C.

 Lafayette Park:

The Syrian Emergency Task Force is a non profit organization based in the United States.  The SETF was created to support the Syrian people’s democratic aspirations and to provide a venue for them to convey those aspirations to the American people.
