Local Syrian Community Taking Action Regarding a Federal Lawsuit Against the Regime in Syria

Washington, D.C., May 9, 2011 – The Syrian Emergency Task Force  , along with the Syrian community here in the United States, is in process of taking its first step on what will prove to be a serious challenge to the Syrian government. Syrian community members will file with the federal judicial system to set right the crimes they have suffered at the hands of the al-Assad regime and the cronies, including kidnapping, illegal detention, torture, and killing. As this campaign unfolds, more details will be made available.

The Syrian Emergency Task Force is a non profit organization based in the United States.  The SETF was created to support the Syrian people’s democratic aspirations and to provide a venue for them to convey those aspirations to the American people.
